The mission of Pathway Forward is to provide a comprehensive educational program that promotes the physical, educational and life skills necessary to prepare and empower individuals for leadership in their communities and success in their personal lives.

In 2012, Pathway Forward, Inc. was established as a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization with the purpose of providing a comprehensive program that promotes the physical, educational, and life skills necessary to prepare and empower individuals for leadership

We have heard too much about crime, truancy, substance abuse, obesity, teen pregnancy, and academic failure. Now all of that is changing and Pathway Forward is playing a big part of that transformation.

Now, instead of seeing throngs of young people hanging out on street corners with nothing to do but engage in illicit activity, you might see them completing their homework or attending GED training workshops with the help of tutors and mentors. Our Pathway Forward Program provides homework assistance and mentoring that promotes life skills and character development.

With significantly higher than average incidences of crime, truancy, teen pregnancy, obesity, and drug use, our community suffers from a lack of constructive activities. Visionaries saw the potential benefits of a quality tutorial program. In the first year since its inception, Pathway Forward has gained a positive reputation for providing constructive activities that contribute to increasing academic performance and providing life skills to ensure success in school, in the community, and in life.

There is a tremendous need, especially in low income neighborhoods, for programs that provide GED and career development support. Children, teens, and adults are struggling for direction and positive opportunities. Currently, research indicates that students who enroll in a GED course increase their chances of passing the test.
